Volunteer for Lahore was created by Yoni Blumberg and Sana Rafiq in 2011 with the support of a Davis Projects for Peace Award. They co-designed and carried out two part program in Lahore, Pakistan aimed at fostering direct volunteerism. The first part included a mentoring program that paired twenty university student volunteers with seventy underprivileged, high-potential primary and secondary school students. The second phase of the project involved the construction of this online volunteer portal for volunteers to connect and find future opportunities.
